With or Without Me is a photography series that documents Sissi Kaplan’s performances in hotel rooms and other locations. It offers a reflection on impermanence and how every presence necessarily leads to an absence. It ponders on the inevitable loss of who we were just a moment ago, the vital promise of constant becoming, and ultimately the possibility of leaving a mark that transcends past and future, memory and projection.
